When our heroes faced the dragon who was posing as the doll, they thought that would be one of the most difficult things they would ever had to do. Fate, however, had much more in store for them.
Our heroes were ready, and they faced their fiend with courage, but not all of them made out of it alive. The dwarf, in a burst of light dissolved into smoke in front of everyone’s eyes – as soft and swift as the words he once spoke. Word from town reported the same: unnatural smoke coming out of the inn plaguing the villagers.
After another job well done and with no time to spare, the party headed to their last stop in Lo; the haunted hospital. Enlisting the help of a tiny smuggler and a flamboyant bard, they headed together to where the hospital sat, strangely seeming like it did not belong there.
After close inspection, dark and strange experiments were unearthed. A doctor on the pursuit of a cure for a mysterious disease went to every extreme to achieve it – even if it meant using humans as test subjects in unstable and uncontrolled practices.
Scared and confused, they focused on the search. Something in that place was valuable for Drizzar, and they had to obtain it.
The darkness would not let them have it that easy.
Hours were spent walking in the complete absence of light, searching for something they didn’t know what was. And when you’re alone in the dark, you start to rethink your ideals.
Percy and Nox had a taste of what raw power tasted like, for good or evil. The giant reconsidered his allegiances, while Althea wondered if there was anyone she could trust, and the little girl had a brief encounter with death at the hand of one of her protectors.
Ultimately, they left with the object: a Pandora Box, and the warning that when opened it would unleash all evils upon the world.
